Ministry: Russia's GDP fall slows down to 1.1% in March
MOSCOW, May 3 (PRIME) -- Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) decrease slowed down to 1.1% on the year in March from 2.9% in February, the Economic Development Ministry said in a report on Wednesday.
The GDP rose by 1% on the month in the period excluding seasonal factors.
In January–March, the economy sagged by 2.2% on the year.
The ministry said that the economy was supported by the growth of industrial output by 1.2% on the year.
